What Flat Iron are you using?

I'm back to the grind and down from the high from my Oscar Hair Tutoirals. Today, I'm going to get back on track starting with an "Ask Jenny" post from a viewer named Katherine from an adorable blog called ShopSchoolSleep. This is what Katherine wrote in:

"Jenny, Love all your hair tutorials. I recently cut my long hair short (I love it!! it was a much needed change) and look forward to short hairdos tutorials :) My real question is about hair straighteners. My 5 yr old Chi straightener died on me last week. My sisters are both hair dressers, one recommended GHD and the other recommended Solano (one sister is currently working for Sports Clip in San Diego and the other studying for MCAT's, so they don't do my hair) and my hair dresser recommended Titanium. Would you be able to recommend one over the other? I know they are all pricey and each have benefits over the other. My hair is just above my shoulder in a long-ish bob cut. It's not thick, but not thin. I dye my hair every 3-5 months. I would greatly appreciate any input." Thanks Kathrin

Hey Kathrin!! Thanks so much for your question. Now, I can only speak from experience and can I just say that I love, love, LOVE GHD flat irons. I've had the same one for years now, and I use it on a daily basis. But, I know that there are tons of wonderful irons out on the market.

Now, as far as the Solano irons go...I know they are salon quality, but I haven't personally used one. All I know, is that the GHD is by the far the best iron I've ever worked with.

GHD is made out of ceramic and evenly distributes heat. Some other benefits are that the GHD has a universal voltage, swivel cord and a sleep mode. It even has a 2 year warranty!! I say treat yourself to a new ghd Professional Original 1-Inch Styler  and enjoy smooth, straight hair.
