As most of you know, I have very fine textured hair. I talk about it on a weekly basis. Don't get me wrong, I love my tresses, I just don't love having to fake that its thick all the time. For today's secret Sunday post I want to go over tricks for all you lovely ladies who share the same dilemma as I do. The fine haired dilemma.
There are numerous tricks and techniques that will work out well with the fine haired babes. It can be as easy as the product you use or the technique you do for blow drying. So lets go over some.
- Products- Lets start with whats in your shower. Come on, if you are using a heavy conditioner, it will only end up weighing your hair down, therefore making your hair look limp and flat. Try using a shampoo and conditioner that is for fine textured hair. I love the Keratase Volumizing shampoo and conditioner. Also, I actually have a few clients who don't even use conditioner. Frankly, I'm unable to do that as I love my conditioner, and lets me honesty....my hair needs it.
- Products-Mousse, spray gels and root lifters are all excellent products to boost up your locks. Mousse is a thing of the 80's ladies, it will give your fine hair lots of umph by helping coarsening the texture.
- Blow drys-Blow dry your hair the opposite way you want it to lay with your moouse, spray gel, and or root lifter to get super voluminized hair.
- Partings-Mix up your part. Have you ever tried mixing up your parting? Your hair gets used to only going to one side for so long, so if you do a little switch a ru...you get loads of lift.
- Waves or curls- I wave out my hair at least 5 times a week, it helps my hair look super full and last all day. I know curls aren't for everyone, but it definitely helps with my fine hair. If you want more info on how to curl your hair, you can refer back to my Beach wave video or my Young Hollywood curls tutorial.
Do you have fine hair? Will one of these technique's help solve your fine haired dilemma?
