Mineral Makeup Monday
So, most of you know by now that I'm a product loving, MAC wearing mama. Well, when I'm not gunking up my hair with fun products or staining my lips & shimmering my lids with vibrant shades, I'm a pretty natural product loving person. My home is environmentally friendly, I use seventh generation products for cleaning, apple cider vinegar for a toner, cloth diapers for my baby...so on and so on. Point of all of my rambling, is that today I'm going to talk about my foundation I use. I use an amazing mineral powder by Jane Iredale.
I came across this product when I got pregnant and knew I wanted to make some changes for the sake of my unborn baby. I found this awesome website http://www.ewg.org/skindeep/ where you can type in any kind of product that you are curious about and it will tell you the toxicity level in the product. Interesting right? I felt like I could get away with my lip shades, but I couldn't get away with my "toxic" foundation. So I then quickly switched over to the Jane Iredale.
This mineral foundation actually has SPF 20 for sun protection in it. It can be used as a foundation, powder, concealer and sunscreen all in one. Theres no oils in it and its paraben free. Its also vegan and gluten free. Sounds amazing right? Sure does, because it is amazing. I love this stuff. I have acne prone skin and have used mineral makeup in the past that doesn't give me coverage I need, but this stuff is not only enviromentally friendly it gives me the 100% coverage. Love, love, love!
If you live in Scottsdale, AZ and want to pick some up. I get mine from a girl name Cheryl Roberts at Steven Paul Salon. She's adorable and very friendly and can match you skin tone perfectly. So have her match you up and feel good about yourself, because by switching to a natural product like this, you are doing yourself and the enviroment a huge favor. xo
