How I Started AIIR: From Dream to Reality
“TODAY MARKS 2 YEARS SINCE I TOOK THE PLUNGE AND DRAINED MY SAVINGS TO CREATE AIIR MYSELF, AFTER BEING TOLD NO BY EVERY SINGLE INVESTOR YOU CAN IMAGINE.”
Just before Christmas in 2018, I made the decision to go all in with AIIR. I had just finished purchasing all of my presents for the kids and paying off my bills, and I had just enough money left to begin. I had a serious conversation with my husband as well as my business partner Devin and they both said they fully believed in me. That was all I needed to hear to put my ethos of AIIR to work and GO FOR IT. After pulling all of the money I could out of my savings account, I had only $68 left. However, I wasn't worried. I knew it was going to work, because I believed in AIIR.
That money got me into mass production of TEXTURE AIIR to start, and I quickly moved to developing AIIR’s HAIR + ENERGY REFRESHER. By the end of March 2019, both of these products were ready. Once they were open to the public, I was shipping out a lot of the product myself with the help of my friend Lucas out of a small warehouse in Tempe, Arizona. With a lot of hard work and determination, I ended up launching ALL 8 hair styling products by October 2019. By 2020, we launched into Salon Centric. And now, we also have a HAIRCARE LINE + a growing list of products in the works to bring you in 2021!
My advice to YOU when starting your own business venture, or facing any challenge in life, is to GIVE IT YOUR ALL and believe that you can accomplish anything you set your mind to. If I hadn’t taken that huge leap of faith two years ago, then AIIR might not exist today. That mindset alone can get you to where you want to be in all aspects of life and allow you MANIFEST YOUR DREAMS.
I've always dived full force into every aspect of my life. Starting my own business was no exception. From concept to reality, I was laser focused and there was no doubt in my mind that AIIR was going to work. Today marks 2 years since I took the plunge and drained my savings to create AIIR myself, after being told no by every single investor you can imagine. After 4 years into development and at the peak of my "social media" career, I knew that AIIR’s products were amazing. I believed in the difference AIIR could make and the power of crystals. No other hair brand was incorporating the element of crystals into their products at this time.
However, the investors were not on the same page. After 7 investor meetings, and 7 no’s, I was at an all time low. They kept asking the same question… “Do you really think that people are going to believe in "crystals"?” While this wasn’t the outcome I had hoped or dreamed for, it humbled me back down to reality. I was forced to reflect on all that I had built and remember my mission in the first place: You can accomplish anything you set your mind to. Throughout my years of growth, I had always kept a crystal close to me as a reminder of hope and determination, and that was enough to keep me pushing forward.
