Scottsdale wedding walk 2014

I have been one busy mama, stylist, blogging lady these days. Sometimes I really need to take a second and slow down. Over last weekend I got involved in the Scottsdale Wedding Walk event that was taken place in Old Town Scottsdale. Its was a fabulous event, where newly engaged couples can come and check out the latest and greatest wedding vendors and what they have to offer.

To be honest with you, I don't do much wedding hair anymore. I will by referral only. I love my clients and am more than happy to do wedding hair for my regulars, but sometimes wedding hair and brides can get a little cray, cray.

However, I love getting involved with the wedding walk for the creative freedom. Every year we have been doing the wedding hair for the runway show portion of the wedding walk. I usually team up with my friend Jennyvi Dizon and I'm usually her personal glam squad along side the talented makeup artist Stephanie Nault.

This year my girls at Salon Stylush helped me do some really fun dos for the runway. Amanda Millet helped me everyday with some killer bouffants, Kameron Hinski helped me one day and Bethanne Johnson helped with the actual show. These lovely ladies rocked it!

What's cool about the runway show, is that there is usually a theme and we can basically do what ever we want. This year the theme for Jennyvi Dizons segment was Mad men so it was all about big hair 60's style. Super fun!!

Doesn't sound too busy does it? Well, leading up to the event I did hair for their promo TV spots and the call time was 8am one day and the other 5:30am. And throwing two kids in the mix is crazy town in my book. But after a few days I did it, relaxed and now am recuperating.

It was so fun and I'm glad I got the opportunity to do it. Plus, I have a bonus video of my quick fun little interview with Channel 3tv along side the talented designer Jennyvi Dizon. Enjoy!
