Four Perfect Hairstyles for Brides

It's always wedding season here in Arizona, with the exception of the hot summer months. With temperature's on there way down, and peak season right around the corner, I wanted to give the fabulous freelance writer Amanda Peters from West Philadelphia, a chance to share her fabulous opinion on four perfect wedding hairstyles for the perfect bride and I think she nailed it. What do you guys think?

Every bride should feel like a queen on her wedding day, so your special day deserves that extra mile in terms of style, and we aren’t just referring to the gown. You need the right hairstyle that accentuates your features to make you feel confidently beautiful. Here are some awesome-looking hairstyles that do not just add glamour to your looks, but are also easy to carry.

 1. Side Swept

This is the perfect hairstyle for brides who want to look casual and effortless. To make it look different, try a little twist on the classic chignon by making it loose and breezy instead of coiffed and tight. This will prevent your look from appearing harsh and, instead, will appear both ladylike and modern. This style would work well with medium to long hair and would suit any type of veil. Just pull hair into a side ponytail. Now flip the hair through where you placed the rubber band. For medium sized hair, you can just stop here and enhance the look with a sprig of flowers. For longer hair, twist it up and form a loose chignon. You can leave a few wisps of hair free, or just curl the front sections up for a romantic look.

 2. Half Hair Up

The half up and half down hairstyle offers the perfect balance between free-flowing casual style and elegant looks. With the half up hairstyle, you get a soft feminine look that is accentuated by your long and loose locks. This style goes perfectly with headbands, so if you have your heart set for a tiara, you can wear it with this hairdo. You can have curly or straight hair according to your choice. Spritzes of anti-frizzing products that also provide hold will help maintain your style for hours, and is especially helpful if your nuptials are outside.

 3. Sleek Bun

If you need a no-fuss hairstyle, go for the classic bun. It maintains focus on your makeup and dress, and is ideal for summer weddings, when it’s too hot for any other hairstyle. This style might be a bit understated, but the fact is that is gives a sleek and smooth look to the bride, especially in modern weddings. This hairstyle will stay with you from the pre-wedding photo shoot to the last dance- with almost no retouching required! For long hair, it is best to use a styling tool, such as a Bun Maker, for chignons and buns. These accessories would wrap around your hair and keep things in place, resulting in a perfect bun that requires no fuss. Buns give you a lot of room to play around with jewelry and gowns and are especially attractive with dresses that show off your neck, shoulders and back.

 4. Loose Tresses

This is the easiest hairstyle for curly haired girls. Just embrace the natural texture of your hair (with a bit of styling product of course). This look may not work for formal events, but is ideal for a beach wedding. Tuck a fresh flower behind the ear to complete the tropical relaxed look. Make sure you select a veil that is worn on top of the head, because pinning it at the back can make your hair look frizzy. If you are planning to adorn this hairstyle, make sure you keep a curling iron with you, because a few tresses can become uncooperative at the last moment.

These were the trendiest hairstyles for weddings that are cool yet classy. If you want a different look, you can experiment with these hairstyles and come up with your own. All the best, and have a great wedding!-Amanda Peters
